HOBY
Hoby is this incredible un describable experience which I will never in my life forget...
Twelve people and seven days... That's all it took to change my life. Who would expect that twelve people who are all so different can be friends. We are all different races, religions, we have different political views, and economic statuses. But those things don't matter because in our eyes we all have a past, present and future. We are all passionate, committed, optimistic and what brought us together was HOBY! We are here to be a change. We are all caring and considerate, we act like crazy people and we aren't afraid of judgement. But just because we are HOBY Alumni that doesn't define who we truly are.We define ourselves just as every other human being does. In life we often doubt the potential change a person or a group of people can make. But I guarantee if you open up yourself to others they will open up to you. In one week I opened myself up to ten teenagers, one adult and myself. In doing this we all became connected. We started to see what the world around us can do and what we can do for the world around us. I had a life changing experience and I began to create the person I want to be every single day. Our life is not something we should limit. Together we can grow whether it be by letting go of stereotypes, being more confident, being kind to others or by just standing out and shining like the stars we are. In seven days my life has changed because of 10 teens, 1 adult and myself. I did not only gain a better knowledge and understanding of the world and my self, I gained a family. I love this family and they are the reason I have changed....
